Christmas crowds? Delhi Traffic Police rolls out restrictions for Saket malls

India

Heading to Select City Mall, DLF Avenue, or MGF Metropolitan Court Mall this Christmas Eve or Day?
Heads up—Delhi Traffic Police is putting traffic curbs in place from 2pm on December 24 and 25 around Saket and Pushp Vihar to handle the mall rush.
Key roads like Press Enclave Road and nearby stretches will see diversions, so expect changes if you're driving or booking a cab.

Alternate routes and extra security in play

To keep things moving, police suggest alternate routes via Khanpur T-Point, MB Road, Lado Sarai, and other nearby connectors.
Plus, Connaught Place's Inner Circle is only open to vehicles with valid stickers issued by Delhi Police.
Around 20,000 cops and paramilitary staff will be out across the city with extra checkpoints (including breath analyzers) at major entry points.

No tolerance for stunts or drunk driving

Quick reaction teams will be watching for stunt-driving or drunk drivers—vehicles could get impounded on the spot.
Heavy vehicles and most busses won't be allowed on certain roads during these hours.
Basically: plan ahead if you're heading out to celebrate!
