Noida: Relative, others gang-rape Class 11 student in moving car
A 17-year-old Class XI student was allegedly gang-raped by a distant relative, a classmate, and another man in a moving vehicle, last week. Returning from her Greater Noida school, the student missed her bus at around 2:30 PM on April 18. She was offered lift by a distant relative Naveen. The police have now arrested two of the three accused, reports India Today.
After the victim did not return home from school, her family started looking for her and approached police at 9 PM. At around 2 AM, she was found loitering around Galgotias University in Knowledge Park. She was allegedly dumped by the accused after the deed. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and her statements were recorded before handing her to her family.
The victim alleged a cloth was stuffed in her mouth before the relative and another man raped her. She wasn't sure about the classmate as she had passed out. An FIR under IPC sections Sections 376D (gang-rape), 363 (kidnapping) and provisions of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act has been registered on the victim's father's complaint.
