Landfall is expected near Kakinada between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam on October 28, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to coastal Andhra Pradesh—especially in districts like Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur.
Fishermen warned to stay off sea
The cyclone could potentially cause flooding, power cuts, and travel disruptions across Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal early next week.
Fishermen have been told to stay off the sea from October 26.
Local authorities are already on high alert to keep people safe and minimize damage.
