                        An Air India flight heading to London crashed just minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Out of 242 people on board (230 passengers and 12 crew), only one survived—the rest lost their lives. The plane had sent a "May Day" distress call before going down just 2km from the airport.
Black box recovery underway; airport operations have resumed
Investigators are now focused on finding the Black Box to understand what went wrong. Officials say the aircraft didn't have any previous issues, and airport operations have resumed after safety checks. A special committee is also reviewing safety protocols to help prevent future tragedies. Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu shared his condolences, calling it a heartbreaking loss for so many families.
