Delhi blast: Car owner arrested after Red Fort explosion
Big update on the Red Fort car blast—Amir Rashid Ali, who owned the Hyundai i20 used in the attack, has been arrested.
The November 10 explosion killed 14 people and injured over 20, leading to a major investigation.
Ali was picked up on November 16 and is now in NIA custody for questioning.
What investigators have found so far
Authorities say Ali played a key role by buying the car that was turned into a bomb by Dr. Umar Un Nabi, who died in the blast.
A video of Dr. Umar emerged in which he talked about "martyrdom operations" and his radical beliefs.
Investigators believe this attack is linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed's terror module, possibly involving doctors from Al-Falah University who are suspected of sourcing explosive materials through their professional networks.
The probe is still ongoing as officials try to piece together everyone involved.
