Delhi blast probe: Forensics teams collecting evidence, checking phone records

India

A tragic car blast near Delhi's Red Fort on November 10 killed 12 people and injured over 20.
Investigators are focusing on Dr. Umar Nabi, an assistant professor at Al-Falah University, who was tracked on CCTV driving the car prior to its explosion outside Gate 1 of the metro station around 6:52pm.
The attack has been labeled a terror incident by police.

Forensic teams have collected over 40 samples from the site

Police traced Nabi's steps before the blast—he spent about three hours at a mosque on Asaf Ali Road, then parked his car at Sunehri Masjid in the afternoon. Later, he drove it to the metro station where it exploded.
Forensics teams have collected over 40 samples from the site and are checking CCTV footage and possible phone communications for links to other suspects or handlers.
Early findings suggest ammonium nitrate was used, and authorities suspect this may have been a suicide attack connected to a larger terror module.
