Delhi criminal injured in police shootout
A late-night police operation in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden ended with wanted criminal Vinay, also known as Mota, getting injured.
Around 10pm near Sanjay Gandhi Animal Hospital, police tried to stop him.
Vinay fired at officers—thankfully, one officer's bulletproof jacket did its job.
Police fired back and hit Vinay in the leg; he's now getting medical care.
TL;DR
Vinay has 56 cases against him
Vinay, 36, from Najafgarh, has a long rap sheet—56 cases for things like robbery and snatching.
He was already on the police radar due to rising crime in the area.
Detectives tracked his moves before closing in on him.
After this shootout, a new case has been filed and legal action is underway, with police saying it's part of their push to make the area safer.
