IMD warns of severe cold wave in Delhi-NCR

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for a considerable decrease in temperature for the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi. Starting Saturday, November 8, temperatures are expected to drop significantly due to strong winds. The minimum temperature could fall to between 13-14 degrees Celsius. Fog and haze are likely in areas like Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad as winter sets in.

The IMD has also issued a heavy rainfall warning for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. The temperature in these regions is likely to drop sharply by four to five degrees Celsius. Districts such as Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Krishnagiri, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, Dindigul, Madurai, Salem, Vellore, Ranipet, and Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu are expected to witness rainfall.

Intense cold conditions in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand
In the Himalayan regions, temperatures have dipped below freezing in some areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Places like Tabo and Lahaul-Spiti are experiencing rain, adding to the extreme cold. Fresh snowfall is expected in Uttarakhand's hilly regions, while fog is likely to cover the state's plains. The weather will remain mainly dry until November 12, paving the way for intense cold conditions.
