Delhi government plans water ATMs for clean drinking water

India

To help everyone stay cool and hydrated this summer, Delhi is rolling out water ATMs in schools and public places. A water ATM recently opened at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Daryaganj. Water Minister Parvesh Verma said the goal is a "hydration-secure, heat-resilient capital," and officials are keeping a close watch to avoid any water shortages.

Water ATMs and tree-planting drive

These new water ATMs use advanced filters and keep water cool—even when it's scorching outside. They're also energy-saving and low-maintenance, so they're built to last. On top of that, Minister Verma joined the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" tree-planting drive, encouraging people to plant trees for their moms—another step toward a greener city.
