Delhi imposes stage 3 anti-pollution measures from November 6, 2026
Delhi's air quality has taken a hit, so from November 6, 2026, the city is rolling out Stage Three of its anti-pollution plan.
That means a ban on big dust-heavy construction work, tighter rules for older gasoline and diesel vehicles, and no more coal or wood burning for heat.
Essential projects like railway repairs can still go ahead but only under strict conditions.
Cleaner travel urged, Class V hybrid
Small repair jobs are OK if they keep the dust down.
The government is asking everyone to use cleaner transport, think metro, busses, or carpooling, and children up to Class V to switch to hybrid classes, or public, municipal, and private offices working at 50% strength to work from home when possible.
Cutting back on outdoor activities is also encouraged to help everyone breathe a little easier.
