Delhi launches year-round anti-dust campaign to fight pollution

India

Delhi launched a year-round anti-dust campaign in late 2025, aiming to tackle the city's stubborn air pollution problem—especially those pesky PM2.5 and PM10 particles.
Led by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, this move builds on earlier efforts that only ran in winter.

Crackdown on dust violators—and you can help

Since October 2025, DPCC teams have been inspecting construction sites across the city, shutting down 48 sites and handing out over ₹2.36 crore in fines for breaking dust rules.
Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa says tech like live sensors is now being used to keep an eye on things.
Residents are also encouraged to report violations through social media or the Green Delhi App, and even diesel generators and industries will need to clean up their act with new emission controls or cleaner fuels.
