Delhi man uses ChatGPT to catch Facebook scammer

A Delhi man outsmarted a Facebook scammer by using AI.
The fraudster pretended to be a college senior who is an IAS officer selling high-end furniture and appliances, claiming it was for a CRPF officer friend's transfer.
Sensing something fishy, the man double-checked with the supposed friend and confirmed it was a scam.

Outsmarting the scammer with tech

Instead of giving in, he built a fake payment page using ChatGPT.
When the scammer tried to "collect" money, the page secretly grabbed their location and even snapped a photo from their front camera.
Armed with this evidence, the man confronted the scammer—who then called him several times begging for forgiveness.
Just goes to show: sometimes, tech can help you flip the script on online fraudsters.
