Delhi: No PUCC, no fuel at pumps from Thursday
Delhi is getting serious about air pollution—starting Thursday, you can't fill up your vehicle at any city fuel station unless you have a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC).
The government's rolling out AI cameras and number plate scanners to check every car, so if your PUCC isn't up-to-date by Wednesday, expect some hassle.
Tech checks, new bans & what's allowed
Here's what else is changing: Non-BS6 vehicles from outside Delhi won't be allowed in the city anymore (yep, that includes both private and commercial rides).
There's also a ban on commercial vehicles carrying construction stuff.
Older BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles stay off the roads under current rules, but if your ride meets BS6 norms or runs on CNG/LNG/electricity, you're good to go.
All part of Delhi's push for cleaner air.
