Delhi nursery admissions 2026-27: Here's what you need to know
Delhi's Directorate of Education has dropped the key dates for nursery admissions in private schools for 2026-27.
Schools must share their admission criteria online by November 28, 2025.
Forms go live December 4, and the first selection list will be out on January 23, 2026—so mark your calendars if you're applying.
Who can apply and how it works
Kids need to be between 3-4 years old for Nursery, 4-5 for KG, and 5-6 for Class I as of March 31, 2026 (with a possible one-month age relaxation).
Schools have to post applicant details by January 9 and announce points allocation by January 16.
Point systems must be displayed online, draws of lots (if any) have to be done openly with parents watching—and everything wraps up by March.
Registration fees are capped at ₹25, keeping things fair for everyone.
