Delhi Police dismantle family-operated car theft syndicate
Delhi Police have taken down a family-run car theft ring that stole over 25 cars around Dwarka. The group—made up of Raman (56), his son Sagar (31), and son-in-law Neeraj (29)—mainly targeted high-end vehicles parked near gyms and parks. Their run ended when police, acting on a tip-off, caught Raman and Sagar sitting inside a stolen car in Uttam Nagar.
Family used advanced gadgets to steal cars
This crew used advanced gadgets to hack into cars by tampering with the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port, making it possible to swipe vehicles in just minutes. During the bust, cops found car scanners, number plates, lock-breaking tools, and more. Turns out, all three had long rap sheets—Raman with 18 cases against him, Sagar with 12, and Neeraj with 14—and they admitted to using stolen cars to track their next targets before selling them off in Meerut.
