Delhi starts 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' planting 70L saplings
Delhi is going big on green! The government's Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam drive kicks off June 22, aiming to plant a whopping 7 million saplings across the city.
Anyone can sign up on the e-Forest Green Drive Portal, pick where they want to plant, and even get a digital certificate from the chief minister by uploading a geotagged photo of their sapling.
Three phase rollout includes free saplings
The campaign rolls out in three phases, starting with the portal launch and awareness push, then focusing on restoring spots like Central Ridge in July, and wrapping up with events at 51 locations citywide.
Vriksh Raths will deliver free saplings right to neighborhoods, and every sapling planted gets tracked on a digital map.
It's all about making Delhi greener together, and you get some bragging rights for helping out!
