Delhi to demolish old CM bungalow for disaster management center
India
Delhi's old chief minister's bungalow at 33 Sham Nath Marg, famous for its colonial look and a bit of a "bad luck" reputation, may soon be demolished.
In its place, the Delhi government plans to redevelop the site into a modern complex for the Delhi Disaster Management Authority and an Emergency Operations Center, aiming to boost emergency response and update the city's infrastructure.
Bungalow linked to unfinished CM terms
This bungalow has seen a string of chief ministers who couldn't finish their terms: some resigned early, like Chaudhary Brahm Prakash, while others, like Deep Chand Bandhu, lived there and died in 2003.
