Delhi: Youth shot dead in gang rivalry

India

A 22-year-old named Mohammed Misbah was shot and killed near Jama Masjid in Seelampur, northeast Delhi, on Thursday night.
Four men on two motorcycles fired more than 25 rounds at him, and he was declared dead at the hospital.
Police later found more than 25 spent bullet shells nearby.

Chhenu and Baba gangs at war

Misbah, recently out on bail and linked to the Hashim Baba gang, had a history of serious charges like murder and robbery.
His killing is believed to be part of an ongoing rivalry between the Hashim Baba and Chhenu Pehalwan gangs—tensions that only grew after Misbah switched sides.
Within two days, police arrested Abdullah (the nephew of jailed gangster Chhenu Pehalwan) and Faizan Ghazi alias Prince using CCTV footage.
Investigators think Rizwan Quazi, Chhenu's cousin and de facto second-in-command, planned the attack.
After the murder, shots were also fired near a betting operator's home in Farsh Bazar, so police are now watching social media closely to prevent more violence.
