Delhi's air stays "very poor" as fog and pollution linger

India

Delhi woke up to another day of "very poor" air, with the AQI hitting 384 this morning—slightly worse than yesterday.
Some spots, like Rao Tularam Marg, are even worse off with AQI above 400.

Why does it matter?

Thick fog and chilly temperatures (down to 6.1°C) are trapping pollution close to the ground, making it tough to breathe and harder to see.
The IMD has put out an orange alert for dense fog, and travel's taking a hit—over 200 flights were delayed at Delhi airport by mid-morning thanks to low visibility.
Even with strict anti-pollution rules in place, local traffic and emissions are still driving up pollution levels this weekend.
