Delhi's December is way warmer than usual this year

Delhi's December 2025 feels more like autumn—average maximum temperatures are at 24.9°C, about two degrees above what's normal for this time of year.
Even the coldest day so far recorded a high of 23.1°C, according to reports.

Why bother?

If you're waiting for sweater weather, you might be waiting a bit longer.
The IMD expects these mild daytime temps to stick around until at least December 20, possibly climbing to nearly 26°C by the 22nd.
Nights will stay relatively cool (8-11°C), but not super chilly.
This unusual warmth is thanks to weak western disturbances—basically, there hasn't been much mountain snowfall or those icy winds that usually bring Delhi its winter chill.
