Enhanced security measures at Saket Court

After an under-trial prisoner named Aman was killed inside Delhi's Saket Court lockup, authorities are rolling out stricter security.
New integrated security systems are being installed at key gates, with work starting June 13 and with anticipated completion during the ensuing summer vacation.

From June 24-30, Gates 1 and 2 will be closed for upgrades—so everyone will need to enter through Gate 6 and exit via Gate 3.
Alongside this, Saket Court is introducing QR-coded ID cards for lawyers and switching to virtual hearings for high-risk inmates.
These updates are part of a bigger push since 2021 to make courts safer for everyone.
