Ex-Kerala DGP Jacob Thomas becomes full-time RSS pracharak
Jacob Thomas, Kerala's former Director General of Police and a 1985-batch IPS officer, has announced his decision to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a full-time pracharak and has offered his services to the organization.
He was seen in the traditional RSS Ganavesham uniform at their Vijayadashami event in Ernakulam on October 1, 2024.
Thomas joins 2 other former DGPs in aligning with Sangh
Thomas is known for his strong anti-corruption stand and outspoken criticism of government actions.
He says he was drawn to the RSS because of its patriotism, discipline, and selfless service.
After retiring from service, he joined BJP and unsuccessfully contested the 2021 Kerala assembly elections.
With Thomas now joining the RSS, he becomes the third former Kerala DGP to align with Sangh Parivar groups—highlighting how more retired senior officials are stepping into influential roles in regional politics.
