Sitharaman credits reforms Nilekani supports startups
Sitharaman pointed out that India has come a long way since independence, overcoming big hurdles like partition and outdated policies.
She credited recent reforms (like GST, digital public infrastructure, and financial inclusion) for helping reduce poverty and boost growth.
Meanwhile, NCAER chairman Nandan Nilekani called for supporting startups and small businesses to create jobs so India's youth can truly benefit from these changes.
