Vehicle search
Police on lookout for red Ford EcoSport
Meanwhile, police teams in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are on a massive manhunt for a red Ford EcoSport, a second car suspected to have been used in the attack. The vehicle bears registration number DL10CK0458 and is registered to Umar Un Nabi, aka Dr. Umar Mohammad. He is listed as the second owner of the car, which was registered at Rajouri Garden RTO in Delhi on November 22, 2017, with a fake address in northeast Delhi.
Attack planner
Umar part of terror logistics network
Sources told India Today that Dr. Umar, who is believed to have been the driver of the car that exploded, was part of a terror logistics network comprising nine to 10 members, including several doctors. Investigators told India Today that he had planned the attack along with Dr. Muzammil Shakeel and Dr. Shaheen Saeed. Both were arrested in Faridabad on Monday, and 2,900kg of explosives were recovered from Shakeel's rented accommodations.
Ongoing investigation
Police analyzing mobile tower data from Red Fort area
After their arrest, Dr. Umar is said to have carried out the blast alone. He had joined Al-Falah School of Medical Science in 2023 after being expelled from a hospital in Anantnag following a patient's death. Police are now analyzing mobile tower data from the Red Fort area to determine whom he contacted between 3:00pm and 6:30pm on the day of the incident.
