Ghaziabad: Scrap dealer found dead in his godown

Abdul Rehman, a 55-year-old scrap dealer, was found murdered in his godown at Ilaichipur village, Ghaziabad, early Wednesday morning.
His family discovered him with fatal head injuries from a heavy object around 6:45am.
Police have filed a murder case against unknown persons and sent his body for postmortem.

Thief might have killed Abdul during theft attempt

Investigators think the murder happened during a theft attempt between 4:00am and 6:00am.
The attacker likely got in by opening the gate of the boundary wall, which the victim usually locked from inside before sleeping; strangely, there were no signs of struggle.
CCTV footage nearby shows an unidentified person near the godown at that time. Police are reviewing these clips and talking to locals to move the case forward.
