Ground victims eligible for Tata's ₹1 cr compensation
After the recent Air India Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad, Tata Group will give ₹1 crore each to families of those who lost their lives on the ground—matching what's offered to passengers' families. The tragedy also damaged a local hostel and shook the community.
Total compensation per deceased person to be ₹1.25 crore
On top of Tata's payout, Air India is adding ₹25 lakh for each victim's family and the sole survivor, bringing total compensation per deceased person to ₹1.25 crore. In all, 241 passengers and crew died on board, with additional casualties on the ground.
