Gujarat ATS arrests 3 men, including doctor, for terror attack

India

The Gujarat ATS has arrested three men—including a Hyderabad-based doctor—accused of planning a major terror attack and conducting reconnaissance in several Indian cities.
The suspects, Dr. Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed, Azad Suleman Sheikh, and Mohammad Suhail Mohammad Saleem, were caught following a tip-off about their activities.

Suspects face serious charges under anti-terror laws

Police say Dr. Saiyed was linked to the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) through an Afghan handler and was preparing to produce ricin—a deadly chemical weapon—while recruiting others into the network.
His team allegedly sourced smuggled guns from Rajasthan, and authorities seized pistols, ammunition, and castor oil (used to make ricin) during the arrests.
The group had conducted reconnaissance in cities like Lucknow, Delhi, and Ahmedabad.
All three face serious charges under anti-terror laws as investigations continue into their ISKP connections and possible terror funding.
