Gulbarga University hostel water sickens more than 15 students

At Gulbarga University, more than 15 students got sick after drinking hostel water. Some ended up in the hospital with vomiting and acidity.
It turned out that a dead lizard was found in the storage tank after students complained about a foul smell.
The Old BCM Boys Hostel, where this happened, has nearly 90 residents.
Hostel students demand investigations and monitoring
Fed up with poor maintenance, hostel students are demanding proper investigations, food and water quality tests, and urgent improvements to sanitation.
They are also pushing for regular monitoring so something like this does not happen again.
