Sex racket busted from Gurugram Sector 57 rented house

What's the story

On Saturday, a sex racket operating from Sushant Lok Phase-3 in Gurugram's Sector 57 was busted by the police. According to the police, an officer on the Durga Shakti Rapid Action Force was tipped-off about a sex racket allegedly running from a rented accommodation in the Sushant Lok, following which, the police raided the building. Here are more details.

Arrests

Police arrested 24 people, including 6 women

On Saturday night, a team from the Sector 56 police station stormed the location and nabbed 24 people including 11 men from the lobby, a man and a woman from the hall, and others from different rooms of the house. A total of six women were arrested. The police said that the main suspect, Rajiv Yadav, who had rented the house, managed to escape.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Subhash Boken, Gurugram police spokesperson, said, "As soon as the police got the information, a raiding team was formed and sent to the spot. Yadav and Harish, his accomplice, who helped him run the sex trade, fled the spot."

Police looking for clues on how they lured customers

Boken said, "Twenty-four persons, including six women and the security guard of the house who hails from Nepal, were nabbed. Gurmeet Singh, the link between the girls and Yadav, was among the arrested persons. Police are looking for clues regarding how the suspects used to lure customers." Reportedly, all arrested women belong to Delhi while the men hail from other parts of the country.

Case

All arrested persons sent to Bhondsi jail

On Sunday, Gurugram Sector 56 police registered a case under Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, 1956. All arrested persons appeared before a district court and were sent to Bhondsi jail. A police official told HT that they're now trying to investigate when the Yadav rented out the house and for how long the flesh trade continued.

On May 20, a team from the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) and the police busted a sex racket running from a Rohini mall spa. On April 24, the police arrested two women for running a sex racket from a spa based in DLF Phase-1. On April 19, a sex racket running from a rented home in North Delhi's Aman Vihar was busted.
