Gurugram's air is still unhealthy, despite slight improvement

India

Gurugram's AQI dipped slightly to 350 this Wednesday, but don't let that fool you—PM2.5 pollution actually rose to a worrying 222 ug/m3.
That's over five times India's safe limit and nearly 15 times what the WHO recommends.
So, while the AQI number improved a bit, the air is still far from healthy.

PM2.5 levels are more important than AQI numbers

PM2.5 particles are super tiny—about one-30th the width of your hair—and can get deep into your lungs and bloodstream.
Breathing in high levels like these raises your risk for heart disease, strokes, and lung problems way more than AQI alone suggests.

Nearby cities are also facing the same problem

Nearby cities like Faridabad and Rohtak are also facing dangerously high PM2.5 levels right now.
Experts say it's time for a bigger-picture approach that goes beyond city borders if we want cleaner air for everyone in the region.
