MDU case: SC Bar Association petitions SC for full probe
Three women sanitation workers at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, say their supervisors forced them to take photos of their private parts and sanitary pads as "proof" of menstruation, just before a governor's visit on October 26, 2025.
The women were allegedly threatened with job loss if they refused; two complied under pressure, while others faced verbal abuse.
Action taken in case
After protests broke out on campus, police filed an FIR against three officials for sexual harassment and related charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
MDU suspended the accused supervisors and set up an internal inquiry.
The Haryana State Commission for Women demanded a detailed report within five days.
Now, the Supreme Court Bar Association has petitioned India's top court for a full investigation and new workplace rules to protect women's dignity at work.
