Haryana second state to get 'Yog Aayog' for yoga

The Haryana government would constitute a 'Yog Aayog' to promote yoga in the state, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today. With this, Haryana will become the second state after Chhattisgarh in the country to constitute a 'Yog Aayog', he said. The chief minister was speaking at Fatehabad district of Haryana during the 'Rahgiri' program.

Khattar urges people to adopt healthy lifestyle

"Apart from carrying out development works, the state government also has a social responsibility. It is the duty of the government to give the society new direction," he said. Noting that health problems are increasing and many are suffering from ailments like obesity, heart disease, diabetes and others, Khattar urged people to exercise daily, eat healthy food and live a stress-free life.

'Rahgiri' had various sports activities and cultural programs

The 'Rahgiri' program today saw participation from a large number of youths. The program had various sports activities and cultural events related to Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. The CM said that both the Center and the state governments have taken a number of initiatives in the health sector. Khattar rode a bicycle on the occasion, while urging the people to live a stress-free life.
