Heavy Delhi-NCR rain prompts Gurgaon Police work from home advice
India
Delhi-NCR saw some serious monsoon action on Thursday, with heavy rain flooding roads and slowing down traffic, especially in Gurugram, where Sohna got 110mm and the sub-district recorded 97mm in just one day.
While the showers brought a break from the humidity, they also led to waterlogging and traffic disruptions.
Because of all this, Gurgaon Police suggested companies let employees work from home on August 6 and 7.
IMD forecasts lighter showers Friday
The IMD says Delhi-NCR isn't done with the rain yet: expect more showers on Friday, though not as intense as Thursday's downpour.
Some areas might still see heavy spells, while others get lighter drizzle and cloudy skies.
Rainfall varied across the region: Kadipur and Harsaru recorded 74mm each.
