Heavy rainfall hits Rajasthan, Jaisalmer records high temperature

Rajasthan got a mix of scattered showers and serious heat on Thursday.
While places like Karauli and Bharatpur saw heavy rain (up to 85mm), western districts like Jaisalmer still baked at 44.6°C, with others above 42°C.
So, it's a bit of everything—rain in some spots, sweltering sun in others.

More rain expected in east, west to stay dry

The weather department says more heavy rain is coming to Kota and nearby areas on June 19 and 20, with thunderstorms likely across much of eastern Rajasthan (except Jodhpur and Bikaner borders).
There's a potential risk of flooding and travel delays in the east, while the west could see heat stress.
