Heavy rainfall predicted in West Bengal due to low pressure
Heads up, West Bengal—IMD says a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is set to bring plenty of rain across the state over the next few days.
Most areas can expect light to moderate showers, with the weather system also moving toward north Odisha and Jharkhand.
These areas will see heavy rain
Gangetic West Bengal districts like Paschim Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura, and Jhargram are in for heavy downpours through Tuesday.
After that, South 24 Parganas, Purba Medinipur, and Paschim Bardhaman will get their share of showers too.
Even hill areas like Darjeeling and Kalimpong won't be left out.
Rough sea conditions along WB-OD coast
The IMD has also flagged rough sea conditions along the West Bengal-Odisha coast until Wednesday.
Fisherfolk are being advised not to venture out during this period—safety first!
