Husband-wife duo tops Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission exam
In a first, a husband-wife duo has topped the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) examinations, conducted for the recruitment of Chief Municipal Officer (Grade B and C). While Anubhav Singh attained the first rank in the exams, his wife, Vibha Singh, secured the second rank. The written examination was conducted on May 5 and the shortlisted candidates appeared for personal interviews on July 9-10.
Anubhav scored 298.3744; Vibha scored 283.9151 marks
Anubhav scored 298.3744 marks overall (written score: 278.3744), while Vibha scored 283.9151 marks (written score: 268.9151). Reportedly, both candidates are from the unreserved category. Speaking to ANI, the two revealed that they had met through a study group in 2008. They got married in 2014. According to the report, the Singhs had been preparing for the examination for the past 11 years.
Anubhav left many jobs; Vibha juggled studies with work
According to Patrika, Anubhav had left many government jobs to pursue his dream of clearing PSC exams. Meanwhile, Vibha juggled studies while working as the Assistant Development Officer (ADO) in the Department Of Panchayat and Rural Development in Bilaspur for the past seven years. Although Anubhav is a resident of Raipur, he prepared for the exams in Bilaspur with Vibha, whose job is transferable.

"It's difficult to express how happy we feel today. I have been waiting for this moment all my life. After so many unsuccessful attempts, I still believed that we both would clear the examination," Anubhav told ANI, adding that the couple used to study together. Vibha added, "I knew we both would get selected, but did not fathom that we would top the exam."
