Ignis with ₹2.08cr number plate breaks record
Kiran Kolpakula from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh just set a new record by buying the VIP number plate DDC 0001 for ₹2.08 crore (about $250,000) through the Big Boy Toyz Auction House app.
What's cool? It was spotted mounted on a Maruti Suzuki Ignis—definitely not your typical luxury car move.
The previous record was set in 2025
This sale smashed India's previous record for priciest registration, which was held by HR 88 B 8888 at ₹1.17 crore in 2025—but that deal fell through and ended up reselling for way less.
Jatin Ahuja, founder of Big Boy Toyz (and former owner of DDC 0001), said this auction shows how transparent their platform is for collectors across India.
Big Boy Toyz also auctions celebrity cars
Big Boy Toyz isn't just about fancy plates—they also auction off rides like Shilpa Shetty's Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, Rohit Shetty's Mercedes-Benz CLA 200d, and Dinesh Karthik's Range Rover Sport SVR.
You'll also find rare vintage plates and eye-catching numbers like DDC 0001 and KL 07 DG 0007 up for grabs.
