IMD forecasts moderate showers in Kerala till November 20
Heads up, Kerala: the IMD says to expect light to moderate rain in parts of Kerala, especially southern Kerala and the Western Ghats, from November 15-19, thanks to a low-pressure area and a cyclonic circulation nearby.
Some spots in southern Kerala and the Western Ghats could see heavier downpours.
Why bother?
Yellow alerts are out for Idukki on November 16, and for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Idukki on November 17—meaning there's a real chance of heavy rain.
With the northeast monsoon in full swing (November usually brings about 118.7mm of rain to South Peninsular India, according to the IMD), localized flooding or waterlogging could disrupt daily life.
The rest of India is mostly dry or chilly right now, so if you're in Kerala, keep an umbrella handy!
