India
After nearly three years of shutdown due to the Manipur crisis, the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus route is finally running again.
On its first day back, two busses and five wingers carried 125 passengers, helping reconnect Manipur with neighboring regions and marking a hopeful return to normal life.
Residents welcome restart, hope for reconciliation
People in the area are genuinely happy about the restart. Kiyam Kumarjit Singh from Thoubal district thanked the state government for bringing back the service, saying he hopes it will encourage peace and togetherness.
"Let us all forgive and forget the past."
The route also passes through diverse communities like Kangpokpi (Kuki-inhabited) and Senapati (Naga-inhabited), showing a real effort to rebuild connections across Manipur.
