India receives delayed Apache helicopters for border deployment
India is about to get a big boost on its western border with the arrival of Apache AH-64E helicopters.
These advanced choppers are part of a $600 million deal with the US that was signed back in 2020, but things got held up for over a year thanks to supply chain hiccups.
Now, the first Apaches are all set to join the Army's new squadron in Jodhpur.
Army getting 3 helicopters to start
Known for their agility and high-tech targeting systems, the Apache helicopters will give India's military some serious extra muscle—especially after recent operations like Sindoor.
The Army is getting three helicopters to start, adding to the 22 already flying with the Air Force, and more will follow later this year.
With delivery issues sorted out, these choppers are finally on their way and ready to make a difference.
