India records 306 new Covid cases, 6 deaths in a day

India just reported 306 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths in the past 24 hours. Most of the people who passed away were older and had other health issues, with Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra seeing the most fatalities. Right now, there are 7,121 active cases across the country.

Kerala sees most cases

Kerala had the highest jump with 170 new infections, followed by Gujarat (114) and Karnataka (100). Delhi also saw a bump with 66 fresh cases. The good news? Most people have only mild symptoms and are recovering at home.

Hospitals ready for any new variant

Health officials say hospitals are set up to handle new variants—think rapid testing, plenty of oxygen supplies, and beds ready if needed. With COVID-19 still evolving, staying alert but calm is the current vibe.
