After Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka hard, India stepped in by flying over a 65-tonne Bailey Bridge on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, to help reconnect communities cut off by floods.
This support is part of "Operation Sagar Bandhu," started by PM Modi, showing India's commitment to helping neighbors in tough times.

Cyclone Ditwah struck on November 25, leaving 479 dead and over 1.4 million affected, with about 233,000 people now in relief centers.
