India tests homegrown Pralay near Odisha, defense ministry reports success
India
India just pulled off a successful test of its homegrown Pralay missile near Odisha.
The Defense Ministry says the test checked all the right boxes, moving the missile closer to real-world use.
With a range of 150 to 500km, Pralay is built to hit military targets with serious accuracy and boost India's defense game in the region.
DRDO built Pralay for rocket force
Made by DRDO, Pralay is set to play a big role in India's future Rocket Force.
It can zip through the sky at up to six times the speed of sound (Mach 6), making it tough for enemies to counter.
The Army and Air Force are set to get about 370 of these missiles, showing India's push for stronger homegrown tech alongside systems like BrahMos.
