India's big infrastructure plans just got a lot pricier: According to a government report, 1,847 ongoing projects have a cumulative cost overrun of around a whopping ₹4,92,752 crore as of June 2026.
The total price tag has jumped from ₹35,61,721 crore to ₹40,54,473 crore.
