India's advanced stealth fighter jets: A new era for IAF
India just launched the AMCA program to develop its own next-gen fighter jets, aiming to strengthen its air force. With only 30 squadrons right now—much less than the ideal 42—the new AMCA jets are expected to help close that gap. The Mark-1 version will handle current needs, while the more advanced Mark-2 is set to bring in sixth-generation tech, especially with rising security concerns from China and Pakistan.
AMCA jets to have advanced AI systems
The first batch of jets (Mark-1) will run on General Electric's F414 engines, though there have been some supply delays. The future Mark-2 will feature a powerful Indian-made engine and add smart AI systems for better combat performance—and it can even fly with or without a pilot. India is also teaming up with big global names like Rolls-Royce and Safran, putting itself alongside countries like the US, China, and Russia in high-tech fighter development.
