India's reservoir levels keep dropping, but still above average

India

India's reservoirs have seen water levels dip below 85% of their total capacity for the sixth week in a row, with current storage at about 82.5%.
That sounds worrying, but here's a silver lining: even with this drop, there's actually more water stored now than at this time last year—and it's well above the 10-year average.

Region-wise ups and downs

Not all regions are feeling the pinch equally. Western states like Maharashtra and Goa are doing pretty well, keeping storage around 90%, while Gujarat is lagging behind.
Down south, most reservoirs have dipped to around 79%, though Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are holding steady above 80%.
In the north and east, storage is hovering near 77%, with Rajasthan standing out by topping 92%.
Cold weather could cause further drops in some areas soon.
