Two Australian women cricketers, who are in India for the ICC Women's World Cup, were allegedly molested in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on Thursday morning when the players were walking from their hotel to a nearby cafe on Khajrana Road. A man on a motorcycle followed them and allegedly touched one of the players inappropriately before fleeing.

Players informed team security officer
After the incident, the players immediately contacted their team security officer, Danny Simmons. He then coordinated with local security liaison officers and arranged for a vehicle to assist them. Assistant Commissioner of Police Himani Mishra met the players, recorded their statements, and registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Sections 74 (use of criminal force to outrage a woman's modesty) and 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the MIG police station.

Accused arrested, Cricket Australia confirms incident
The accused, Aqeel Khan, was arrested on Friday after a bystander noted down his motorcycle number. Sub-Inspector Nidhi Raghuvanshi confirmed that Khan has prior criminal cases registered against him, and an investigation is ongoing. Cricket Australia also confirmed the incident in a statement saying, "CA can confirm two members of the Australian Women's team were approached and touched inappropriately by a motorcyclist while walking to a cafe in Indore."
