If you are a frequent traveler, this new development by the Indian Railways will make you elated. Indian Railways have tied up with Magzter, a leading digital newsstand, offering digital reading experience to passengers. Under this, the passengers will get unlimited access to over 5,000 best-selling magazines and newspapers on their phones and tablets, while traveling. Here's all about it.

Features
Magazines available in regional languages like Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu

The magazines are available in multiple languages- English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi and Urdu. Moreover, IRCTC users will get access to premium articles curated from best-selling magazines. Another user-friendly feature is that users can download the magazines on their device, and, therefore, will not need an internet connection, which often gets lost while traveling.

These magazines range over 40 categories including business, comics, politics, education, automotive, fashion, fitness, entertainment, lifestyle, news, science, technology, and travel. As a result, this makes the offer interesting for any age group from 6 to over 60 years of age.

Packages
IRCTC users can avail discounts and customized packages on magazines

Coming to how much you've to shell out, the passengers can avail the digital magazines at a discounted price. Further, there are customized packages and an exclusive 7-day free trial package. Users can choose their packs for various duration like for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 1 year. There is also an unlimited reading option available.

1-day pack costs Rs. 20; 1-week pack at Rs. 30

While the 1-day pack costs Rs. 20, the 1-week pack costs Rs. 30, the 1-month pack costs Rs. 99-399, and the 1-year pack costs Rs. 499-Rs. 3,999. Note that the mentioned rates are exclusive of taxes.

Steps
Here's what you have to do to get the magazines

If interested, follow these steps. First, go to IRCTC website. You'll see an 'IRCTC Exclusive' section, under that, click on the link for Digital Magazine. Thereafter, click on Magzter website, then enter your contact number and verify it using an OTP. You have to then log in the Magzter website using your Facebook/email account or you can simply sign up for a new account.

Log into Magzter, choose payment plan and enjoy your rides

After logging into Magzter account, go to My Account and click on My Subscriptions. Click on 'Read 5000 plus magazine' to select a magazine. Then click on 'Read'. Following this, you can choose the payment plan if you are not opting for seven-day free trial. After this, you can log in Magzter any time and read your magazines. You are welcome, folks!
