JEE (Main) 2026: NTA to use Aadhaar for exam city allocation

Starting with JEE (Main) 2026, the NTA will assign your exam city based on the address on your Aadhaar card.
This update is meant to keep things fair and organized, with a new e-KYC system checking that your details and live photo match what's in the Aadhaar database.

What if you don't have an Aadhaar card?

If you don't have an Aadhaar card, no worries—you can still apply through a physical verification process.
If there's any mismatch in your info or photos, you'll get a chance to fix it before submitting.
Plus, the NTA is rolling out fresh accessibility features for disabled candidates, like a zoom tool and dark mode in the online test platform, so everyone gets a fair shot.
