JeM's 1st women's wing launched, headed by Masood Azhar's sister

India

Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan-based terror group, has started its first women's wing called Jamaat-ul-Mominaat, with recruitment beginning in Bahawalpur on October 25.
Leading the new unit is Sadiya Azhar—Masood Azhar's sister and widow of Yusuf Azhar, who was killed during India's Operation Sindoor.

Recruitment in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and mainland Pakistan

Recruitment for the women's wing is underway in cities like Karachi and Muzaffarabad, mainly targeting wives of JeM commanders and women from poor backgrounds.
This move signals a shift in JeM's strategy after recent setbacks, with plans to train female suicide attackers—a tactic seen with groups like ISIS and Boko Haram.
Indian police also arrested Dr. Shaheena Shahid for allegedly trying to set up this network in India, finding explosives linked to her group during the raid.
